Forget Saturday Nights, It's All About Sunday 

In New York it would seem that urine-drenched portaloos and three day benders are not the festival staples that the average Brit could be used to. A six hour mini dance party on a sunny Sunday is the more chic and edgy option and it gets the thumbs up.

 

 

Starting at 3pm every Sunday throughout the summer, Brooklyn's Mister Sunday promises a good time and a potentially boozy afternoon while having you tucked into bed nice and early, ready for Monday morning starts. This is how Brooklynites do it.

 

 

In a narrow courtyard between Industry City's beautiful warehouses, twinkling lights, a padded dancefloor and grassy verges turn this urban complex into Sunday's must-be location.

 

 

WHEN: 3pm to 9pm every Sunday throughout the summer until the end of October.

 

 

WHERE: At 241 37th Street besides Brooklyn's Sunset Park. Only 5 minutes from the 36th subway stop, it can be reached from Manhattan in minutes.

 

 

WHO: Anyone. From house mommas to teenie tots, booty shakers and old school fakers this party is open to every music lover. This invites in an ambience of peace and love - very seventies.  

 

 

MUSIC: Eamon Harkin and Justin Carter play a blend of house beats, techno tunes, latin grooves and even a few jazzy numbers. It's an all round, pure shake-it vibe.

 

 

PRICE: Buy tickets online or on the door for $15. Once inside, Brooklyn's locally brewed beers and sangria cost around $7.

 

 

FOOD: No good party could be complete without a filling station and this one ain't bad. Tacos and Sottocasa's coal-oven pizza by the slice hits the spot.
