The 5 Things I Bought at Chelsea Market

In the heart of the ever-stylish and ultra-chic meatpacking district sits the quaint, yet classy, Chelsea Market. Nestled into an old red brick building that once held the National Biscuit Company, home to the invention of the Oreo. Need we say more? All hail Chelsea Market and it's development over the Oreo birthing ground.
Today, the stores and restaurants fill the two blocks and original architecture.
Once inside, the quirky outlets and cobbled walkways give way to an otherworldly feel with unique offerings jutting out at every turn.
While small jewellery stands, book shops and home goods also pave the stones, here it really is all about the good food.
More than 35 vendors offer authentic and affordable food leaving no visitors empty-bellied. I was no different. On my first visit I left with no fewer than the five items listed below and I just can't stop going back for more:
1) A portion of Pad Thai from the Chelsea Thai Grocery Store
- sweet, crunchy and entirely authentic
2) A gold ring from the flea market
- handmade and very cool
3) A slither of brie from Lucy's Whey, another branch of the famous Hamptons' cheese shop
- soft and totally not on the NY diet list
4) A basket from Chelsea Market Baskets
- because I needed a basket to hold all that food
5) A chocolate twist from the Fat Witch Bakery
- well I had to have dessert
